Admission Procedure

As per the University Regulations, we take admission in Intermediate, Graduation and Post Graduation in the sanctioned subjects*.

Admission Procedure for Intermediate (10+2): Science & Arts

Eligibility Criteria : The applicants must have passed the Matriculation or equivalent exam from the recognized board

    Admission Process and Guidelines for Intermediate :

  1. 1. For a couple of years, the OFSS Bihar invites the applications for the admission in Intermediate in all the colleges of Bihar. The Merit List is published by the OFSS Bihar and students are allotted the college provisionally.
  2. 2. We scrutinize the merit list published by the OFSS Bihar as per admission guidelines of the University.
  3. 3. Students then are called for physical verification.
Checklist for verification :
  • Intimation Letter by the OFSS Bihar
  • Original School Leaving Certificate
  • Original Migration (if applicable)
  • Xerox of 10th Marks Sheet along with Original
  • Xerox copy of caste certificate along with Original (if applicable)
    1. 4. Payment of Admission Fee
    2. 5. Updation on the OFSS Portal
       Note:
  • The applicant must be aware of the selection of Subjects at the time of applying the forms, otherwise he/she may face a trouble at the time of registration.
  • The information filled by the applicant while applying the forms must be true and genuine.
  • The admission forms shall be rejected in the following case:
    1.     i. Discrepancy in the information provided by the applicant
    2.     ii. Lack of aforementioned certificates
       Note:

    The subsidiary combination for Arts Stream, as per the guidelines of the University, depends on the conscience of the College administration. In this case, the concerned department shall decide the subsidiary combination fir Science Stream, as per the guidelines of the University, has been mentioned in the following Admission Procedure segment.

    Note: (i) The subsidiary combination for Arts Stream, as per the guidelines of the University, depends on the conscience of the College administration. In this case, the concerned department shall decide the subsidiary combination as per the strength available in the concerned subject Note:(ii) The subsidiary combination for Science Stream, as per the guidelines of the University, has been mentioned in the following Admission Procedure segment. Admission Procedure for Degree Courses:
    1. The V.K.S. University has also initiated an online portal for the admission in Degree Courses. The applications are invited on the Online Portal and then the applicants are allotted the Honours Subjects and Colleges as per the Merit List.
    1. Eligibility Criteria for taking admission in Degree Courses:
    2. Intermediate (10+2) or Equivalent pass out from the recognised institution
    3. The applicant must have secured at least 45% marks in the opted subject for Honours at Intermediate Level or equivalent.
    • The Science Stream students who want to opt Arts Stream must have secured at least 45% marks in aggregate at Intermediate Level or equivalent.
    1. The Commerce Stream students who want to opt Arts Stream must have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate at Intermediate Level or equivalent.
    2. To opt Language subjects as Honours, the applicant must have read that subject (of 100 Marks) at Intermediate level in which he/she must have secured at least 45%.
    3. The applicant of Language subjects as Honours cannot opt more than one language subject in his/her subsidiary papers.
    • However, in case of faculty transfer, the applicant who has read the language subject of 50 marks at Intermediate or Equivalent level shall be eligible for opting that subject as Honours Paper provided that he/she must have secured at least 45% marks in the concerning subject.
    • To opt Physics Honours, the applicant must have read Physics and Mathematics at Intermediate level.
    1. To opt Mathematics Honours, the applicant must have read Physics and Mathematics at Intermediate level.
    2. The applicant of Chemistry Honours may opt Physics and Mathematics as Subsidiary subjects provided that he/she must have read Physics and Mathematics at Intermediate level.

    Note: The applicant must be aware of the aforementioned rules before applying on the University Portal.
    1. Verification Process: Our Admission Committee verifies the concerning documents of the applicant as per the admission guidelines and merit list published by the University.

        Admission Procedure for Post Graduation Courses:      We have Post Graduation courses in two subjects: History and Economics. The process in taking admission in Post Graduation       is  likewise the Degree Courses. The University invites the application for the admission and merit list is sent to the concerned        college. We, thereafter, begin the verification process as per the admission guidelines of the University.
    1. Eligibility Criteria for Post Graduation Courses:
    2. The applicant must be a Graduate pass out from a recognised institution.
    3. The post graduation subject shall be the same as his Honours subject.
